This resource provides information to alcohol and drug professionals about inclusive practice when working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) clients.

Summary: This online training module provides information to AOD (alcohol and other drug) professionals about inclusive practice when working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) clients. It provides an overview of the history, terminology and important considerations for inclusive practice.  It is suitable for all levels of staff in an organisation and can complement existing induction for new staff into the AOD sector.

For health professionals living in Queensland: The developers recommend that organisations seek further, personalised face-to-face training with Queensland Council for LGBTI Health (formerly QuAC) to solidify their learning. To organise a workplace training session, contact the Queensland Council for LGBTI Health team via their Queensland AIDS Councilwebsite.
